Fueling A Sustainable Future
We don’t just talk about sustainability - we take action, because we believe that creating a better world for generations to come starts today.
Working Toward Zero Waste
We proudly support the sustainability goals of HCC
Robust Recycling
We recycle cardboard, metal, paper, glass, and accepted plastic products, and we recycle uncommon items—such as batteries and printer cartridges—wherever possible.
Proactive Prevention
We use tracking and forecasting tools to proactively identify food waste trends in order to alter our preparation accordingly.
Showcasing Our Local Partner Relationships
HCC dining sources food from many local farmers, growers, and distributors. Our partners change throughout the year depending on seasonality and availability.
Red Apple Farms - Phillipston, MA
What is now the Red Apple Farm has been a farm in some form since around the 1730s when it was started as a small subsistence farm. In 1912 it became a dedicated apple farm and in 1929 the Rose family moved in and have been its caretakers ever since.
Overtime, most farming has left New England for a host of reasons but we strive to keep the tradition alive for all to enjoy for many years to come…Mountain View Farm - Easthampton, MA
